Celeste Werner Elliott (snglcel) is a California-based interdisciplinary artist born in Goleta and raised in a handful of places throughout Central California, mostly Lompoc and Carpinteria. Celeste received a BA in art from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2025.
Celeste’s background in illustration informs all current work, which explores themes of gender and domesticity, divinity, and missing information through liminality. The work is conveyed through vehicles of escapist fantasy (games, nature, pop culture, alt and/or internet spaces, etc.) and with mediums that are either chosen because or are subverted to encourage interactivity in some way.
When not making art or working, Celeste can be found at a(n) art show/concert/restaurant, gaming, attempting to sew, or spending time with loved ones (maybe even all at once).
